Our firm successfully resolved a medical malpractice case involving a cervical epidural steroid injection that caused permanent spinal cord injury. During what should have been a routine pain management procedure, the physician advanced the needle into the spinal cord and injected medication directly into the cord itself, causing devastating neurological injury.
The evidence showed our client experienced immediate, severe pain during the injection and rapidly developed numbness, weakness, and neurological deficits. MRI imaging performed shortly after the procedure confirmed direct spinal cord trauma, bleeding, and swelling caused by the injection.
As a result of the injury, our client continues to suffer chronic pain, weakness, numbness, mobility problems, and permanent neurological impairment affecting daily life and independence.
Through litigation, we secured compensation to help provide for future medical care, treatment, pain management, and long-term financial support.
