Our firm successfully resolved a medical malpractice case involving a negligent peripheral nerve block that caused permanent nerve damage and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). During what should have been a routine procedure before foot surgery, the anesthesiologist injected anesthetic directly into the nerve instead of near the nerve, causing severe and permanent neurological injury.
The evidence showed the injection caused direct trauma to the sciatic and tibial nerves, resulting in chronic burning pain, weakness, drop foot, hypersensitivity, swelling, and long-term functional impairment. Multiple physicians diagnosed our client with CRPS, one of the most debilitating chronic pain conditions.
Despite surgery, physical therapy, pain management, and extensive treatment, our client continues to suffer constant pain and permanent limitations affecting daily life and mobility.
Through settlement, we secured compensation to help provide for future medical care, pain management, rehabilitation, and long-term financial support.
